I don’t fly often, perhaps once a year or so. Although we often associate flying with stress and delays, I am always amazed at how many things generally go right, all things considered. So how often do things go wrong for airlines, anyway?
In this analysis, I use airline data from the 2000s to examine delays, cancellations, and diversions by airport and carrier.
